Contracts totalling more than $8.1 million have been awarded to J-1 Contracting Limited for road work in various communities in Central Newfoundland.
These contracts include work to:
- Replace culverts on Route 320 and Route 330 in the Templeman, Lumsden, Deadman’s Bay, Carmanville and Ladle Cove areas;
- Pave six kilometres of Greenspond Road;
- Replace culverts on Route 340 between Loon Bay and Baytona; and
- Replace culverts on Route 331, Route 332, and the Trans-Canada Highway at Lake O’Brien and near Gander.
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure anticipates this work to be completed during this highway construction season. Motorists should anticipate traffic delays at each location while work is ongoing and are encouraged to drive cautiously for the safety of everyone working at these construction sites.
