The Honourable John G. Abbott, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, along with the Honourable John Hogan, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and MHA for Windsor Lake, and Kim White, Executive Director, Froude Avenue Community Centre, will launch the engagement process for the Social and Economic Well-Being Plan today (Monday, August 8). Representatives from the community sector and individuals with lived experience of poverty will attend the event.
The launch will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the MacMorran Community Centre, 10 Brother McSheffrey Lane, St. John’s.
The announcement will be livestreamed on Facebook.
Informed by the work of Health Accord NL and in collaboration with community, the Social and Economic Well-Being Plan will focus on poverty reduction and prevention and early intervention to help address the social and economic well-being of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
