The Honourable John G. Abbott, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will deliver the keynote address at the Newfoundland and Labrador 50+ Federation’s 45th Annual Convention at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, September 14).
At 8:00 a.m., Paul Pike, MHA for Burin-Grand Bank and Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier, will be bringing greetings on behalf of the Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The convention is being held at the Marystown Hotel and Convention Centre, 180-190 Ville Marie Drive, Marystown.
The Newfoundland and Labrador 50+ Federation Inc. is an umbrella organization that represents 130 clubs and approximately 6,900 members throughout the province. The 50+ Federation’s mission is to link member clubs and disseminate information pertinent to quality of life for seniors and older adults of Newfoundland and Labrador.
