Due to overwhelming response, the Honourable Sarah Stoodley, Minister of Digital Government and Service NL, will host an additional virtual public consultation session for input from all stakeholders, including the disability community, building owners and the public, to help inform amendments to the Buildings Accessibility Act. The first session which is now full, takes place on Thursday, January 27 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The second session is scheduled for Monday, January 31, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. To participate, people must register online through EventBrite. A web link for the session will be provided to registrants. This session will be the same as the first, so there is no need to register for both sessions.
In addition to the virtual consultation, input on the Buildings Accessibility Advisory Board recommendations on the Buildings Accessibility Act, can be provided through an online questionnaire at engageNL. The deadline to respond to the questionnaire is Monday, January 31, 2022.
