Digital Government and Service NL has added a new service to its list of online tools. The fee to obtain a Reporting Issuer Certificate can now be paid through an online payment portal. Reporting Issuer Certificates of good standing are provided upon request at a cost of $50. The certificate confirms a reporting issuer has met the obligations established under the Securities Act.

The option to pay by cheque is still available for those who wish to do so.

Reporting issuers, or those that trade securities in Newfoundland and Labrador, are required to regularly disclose business activities by filing documents with the Superintendent of Securities. A list of reporting issuers in good standing is published weekly on the department’s website, and is available to the public at no cost.

This online service aligns with the Provincial Government’s continued focus on providing flexibility and convenience for residents.
