Due to overwhelming response, the Honourable Sarah Stoodley, Minister of Digital Government and Service NL, will host a third virtual public consultation session for input from all stakeholders, including the disability community, building owners and the public, to help inform amendments to the Buildings Accessibility Act. The first two sessions, taking place on Thursday, January 27, 2022 and Monday, January 31, 2022, are full.
The third session is scheduled for Monday, February 7 from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 p.m. To participate, people must register online through EventBrite. A web link for the session will be provided to registrants. This session will be the same as the others, so there is no need to register for each session.
In addition to the virtual consultations, input on the Buildings Accessibility Advisory Board recommendations on the Buildings Accessibility Act, can be provided at engageNL. The deadline to respond to the online questionnaire is extended to February 11, 2022.
