The Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.
Undertaking Registered:
Exploits River Geodesic Domes (Reg. 2189)
Proponent: Red Indian Adventures Ltd.
The proponent is proposing to construct four geodesic dome accommodation units to expand its existing tourism lodging business near the Exploits River, approximately 20 kilometres west of Grand Falls-Windsor. Access to the site is existing from the Trans-Canada Highway. Construction of the domes would require land clearing, installation of concrete pillar foundations, well drilling and septic system installation. Underground connections would be required to connect the domes to the existing power lines on site. Construction is expected to start May 2022 and would take 3-4 months to complete.
