The Honourable Siobhan Coady, Deputy Premier and President of Treasury Board, and the Honourable Tom Osborne, Minister of Education, are pleased that a tentative agreement for the renewal of the Labrador West Collective Agreement has been ratified with the Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers Association.

This agreement provides a salary increase effective retroactively from September 1, 2020, as well as improvements regarding leave and housing. A committee will also be formed to address recruitment and retention opportunities in the region. Further details will be released once the final agreement is signed.

This is the third set of agreements the Provincial Government has negotiated this year, beginning with the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association, followed by the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association.
