The Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture is calling for Request for Proposals (RFPs) to pursue commercial timber development opportunities in Forest Management District 17 on the Northern Peninsula.
This RFP is open to local individuals, forest harvesting and processing companies, Indigenous governments and organizations with an interest in the commercial development of Crown timber resources.
The RFP application and guidelines can be accessed on the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture website.
The successful applicant will be provided a five-year timber allocation to access approximately 30,000 cubic meters of timber annually, located on designated cutting blocks in the Bateau Barrens and Jessie’s Meadow areas.
RFP proposals must be submitted electronically by email to colincarroll@gov.nl.ca on or before 4:30 p.m. NST on March 7, 2022. Proposals submitted by fax, mail or paper will not be accepted.
