Hunters throughout the province are advised there will be no access to the Wildlife Information Management System (WIMS) website on Thursday, February 24 and Friday, February 25.

During this period, Wildlife Division officials will be performing maintenance associated with preparing the WIMS site for receipt of 2022 big game draw applications. Hunters are reminded the big game application process has shifted to a primarily online service starting in 2022. Individuals who have not yet set up an online WIMS account will still be able to do so when the system re-opens.

Public access to the site is expected to be available again on Saturday, February 26. The big game draw application process opens February 28, 2022 and will close on April 29, 2022.  This is an increase in duration of the application window from four weeks in previous years to nine weeks.
