Applicants to the 2022-23 big game licence draw can now view results by logging into their Wildlife Information Management System accounts.
This year the quota was set at 27,665 moose licences for the Island, including 17,850 either sex, 9,360 male only, and 455 either-sex licences for not-for-profit groups. There are 345 either-sex moose licences in Labrador. On the Island, 575 caribou licences are allocated, including 339 either sex and 20 male only. Caribou hunting is prohibited in Labrador. Most Moose Management Areas (MMAs) on the Island open for the season on September 10, 2022 and close December 31, 2022. In Labrador, MMAs open on September 10, 2022 and close on March 12, 2023. Big game licence fees must be paid by 4:30 p.m. on June 30, 2022.

Applicants with limited internet and no online account access who picked up and submitted a paper application from a Forestry and Wildlife Office will receive notification by mail.
