In an effort to continue to reduce the number of mandated and extended shifts for registered nurses in the province, the Provincial Government has extended the double rate overtime for vacation period, announced this past summer, to January 31, 2023.

This measure will support shifts being filled in advance and will also increase the ability of the Regional Health Authorities to grant annual leave for Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners.
