| Summary: | The Complainant made an access request under the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015 to the Office of Women and Gender Equality for records relating to an employment issue. The Public Body provided records to the Complainant, but withheld some information claiming section 30 (legal advice). During the complaint investigation, the Public Body refused to provide the withheld information to the Commissioner for review, and declined to take part in an alternative process of providing a description of the information and an explanation of how the exception applied. The Commissioner concluded that the Public Body had not met the burden of proving that section 30 applied, and recommended that the withheld information be provided to the Complainant. |
