March 7, 2022

The Provincial Government is pleased to partner with Marine Atlantic for Come Home 2022 to offer travellers a 22 percent discount on ferry rates on both the Port aux Basques and Argentia routes for defined periods during the spring and early summer.

The discount will be available for passenger-related bookings made between March 2 and April 12, for travel between May 15 and June 30. The offer applies to both one way and return bookings. Bookings will continue to be “risk-free”, with no cancellation or change fees if travel plans change in the future.

The promotion is intended to encourage travel to Newfoundland and Labrador and will provide a boost to the tourism and hospitality and cultural sectors during the upcoming tourism season.

Come Home 2022 aims to encourage former residents of Newfoundland and Labrador to come home, remind residents of the wonders here in their own ‘backyard,’ compliment ongoing work to attract visitors earlier in the season, and expand ongoing marketing efforts with non-resident visitors.

Newfoundlanders and Labradorians everywhere can visit ComeHome2022.ca to sign up for the Come Home e-newsletter which will share event announcements and information throughout the year. They can also follow ComeHome2022 on Facebook and Instagram to get up-to-date celebration information.
