The Honourable John G. Abbott, Minister Responsible for the Status of Persons with Disabilities, will bring greetings at the opening ceremonies for the Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games 2023 tomorrow (Thursday, March 9).

The opening ceremonies will take place at the Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium, 5 Jones Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games 2023 will bring together approximately 400 athletes and coaches from all regions of the province to participate in sporting events such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, curling, five-pin bowling and floor hockey.
