Media Advisory: Premier Furey to Launch New Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Innovation Challenge

The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will launch a new Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage Innovation Challenge in St. John’s tomorrow (Tuesday, October 17).

The event will take place at the Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation, Memorial University Campus, St. John’s at 10:00 a.m. A technical briefing for media will take place at 9:15 a.m.

Premier Furey will be joined by the Honourable Andrew Parsons, KC, Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology, the Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Lesley James, professor with the Memorial University Department of Process Engineering, Kieran Hanley, Chief Executive Officer of econext and Charlene Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Energy NL.
