The caribou quota is 575 licences for the island of Newfoundland, including 216 non-resident licences. Caribou hunting is prohibited in Labrador. Quote
“Thousands of people enjoy the physical challenges of hunting, the shared culture of getting out on the land, and the rewards of a healthy meal of wild game. With the smooth transition to a fully online application process, our staff have completed the draw earlier this year to give hunters more time to prepare for a safe and successful hunting season. I encourage hunters to review the Hunting and Trapping Guide to see what’s new for 2023-24 and learn how we manage our important wildlife resources.”
