The Honourable Andrew Parsons, KC, Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology, will bring greetings at the 10th Annual Marine Institute Model Boat Race tomorrow (Saturday, November 4).

The event is taking place at The Marine Institute, 155 Ridge Road, St. John’s beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The Model Boat Race allows teams of junior high and high school students to build an operational ship model, applying physics and mathematical principles, and competitively race the vessel in the Marine Institute’s flume tank. Prizes are awarded in multiple categories including for speed, maneuverability, and design.
