The 911 Division would like to advise members of the public that the province-wide 911 service is not impacted by the strike action taken today by Teamsters Local 855.

Please continue to call 911 if emergency ambulance services are required, or for any threat to health, life, safety or property where an immediate response is needed from emergency services.

All efforts to mitigate the impacts of the current ambulance labour dispute are being made. Health authorities are actioning their contingency plans, which include working with adjacent private ambulance services and bringing on additional staff to support emergency response and routine transfer services. They will also activate additional Regional Health Authority ambulances and staff to ensure emergency response in impacted regions.
