The Honourable John Hogan, KC, Minister of Justice and Public Safety, will join community partners for the official opening of the Phoenix greenhouse and meditation garden this afternoon (Tuesday, June 27).

The event takes place at Her Majesty’s Penitentiary, located at 89 Forest Road, St. John’s at 2:30 p.m.. Media who wish to attend are asked to RSVP by contacting Eric Humber at erichumber@gov.nl.ca. Media should arrive by 2:15 p.m.

The Phoenix Garden Project is a horticulture therapy program that creates opportunity for inmates to heal, learn new skills, and connect with others in a therapeutic environment.
