A temporary detour on Pitts Memorial Drive heading towards downtown St. John’s will be in place on Saturday, June 3, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

Eastbound traffic will be rerouted to the Kilbride off ramp and then can pick up the highway again at the eastbound Kilbride on ramp on Columbus Drive/Bay Bulls Road.

The closure is necessary due to a culvert installation and electrical work in this area. Motorists are asked to pay attention to traffic control and be prepared to slow down.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure anticipates work being completed and the lane being open by approximately 6:00 p.m.
