The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure wishes to advise that Rushy Pond Brook Bridge on Route 1 (Trans Canada Highway) west of Grand Falls-Windsor is temporarily closed due to rising water levels today (December 22).

Traffic will be diverted to the newly constructed bridge which is adjacent to this structure and is in the final stages of construction. The contractor is on site and preparing the new bridge for opening which is anticipated to be within the hour. Motorists are asked to avoid this area until the bridge is opened.
