The Honourable Pam Parsons, Minister Responsible for Women and Gender Equality, will share remarks at the Take Back the Night event tonight (Friday, September 15) in St. John’s.

Hosted by End Sexual Violence NL, the event begins at 6:00 p.m. at the War Memorial, 85 Water Street, St. John’s followed by a march to the Provincial Court House at 215 Water Street.

Take Back The Night is the oldest worldwide movement to stand against sexual violence in all forms. The name honours the historic 1970s stand of those who first advocated for the essential right of women to walk alone at night without fear of harassment or sexual violence.
