Blaketown ATV Trail (Reg. 2334)
Proponent: Shamus Kealey
The Proponent is proposing to construct a two-kilometre ATV trail to access a remote cottage lot located at Crooked Pond, near the town of Blaketown. Trail development would include vegetation clearing and the construction of two bridges. Work would involve the use of ATVs, chainsaws, and hand tools. FINAL JOINT IMPACT STATEMENT GUIDELINES APPROVED:
Strange Lake Rare Earth Mining Project (Reg. 2272)
Proponent: Torngat Metals Ltd.
The Minister has approved Joint Guidelines for the preparation of the impact statement for the Strange Lake Rare Earth Mining Project. The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Federal Impact Agency of Canada (IAAC) have collaborated in the preparation of the Joint Impact Statement Guidelines which identify the information that the Proponent will be required to address in the Impact Statement.
