The Honourable Krista Lynn Howell, Minister of Education, and the Honourable Fred Hutton, Minister of Housing and MHA for Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s, will attend the launch of a book vending machine at Brookside Intermediate on Monday, May 13. The ministers will be joined by school staff and administration, as well as members of the Brookside Intermediate book club.

The book vending machine supports literacy in the school community. Upon doing a good deed, students at Brookside Intermediate will receive a token to use as payment at the book vending machine.

The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Brookside Intermediate, 1165 Thorburn Rd, Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s.
