The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will bring remarks at an unveiling ceremony taking place tomorrow (Friday, October 11) at 3:00 p.m.

The Premier will be joined by the Honourable Scott Reid, Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation, leaders or designates of Indigenous Governments and Organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador, and special guests.

Unveiling ceremonies for a bronze statue and artwork commemorating the culture and historical significance of the Beothuk will be held in East Block, Confederation Building, St. John’s.

A technical briefing for media will take place at 2:15 p.m. in the Media Centre.
