The Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will host the 20th Annual Premier’s Athletic Awards on Wednesday, October 30, at 4:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Newfoundland and Labrador Sport Centre (PowerPlex), 90 Crosbie Road, St. John’s.

Premier Furey will be joined by the Honourable Steve Crocker, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, Team Gushue members Mike Adam and Jamie Korab, and members of the Healey and Gushue families.

The Premier’s Athletic Awards recognize athletic excellence in Newfoundland and Labrador and provide financial support to help young athletes with the costs of training and competition.
