Officials with the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology are attending the Home to Overseas (H2O) Conference, from June 3 to 5 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Nine Newfoundland and Labrador organizations that are part of this province’s rapidly growing ocean technology sector will also be in attendance. The department’s participation will help develop and support outbound trade activities, promote the province as an ideal location in North America for ocean tech investment and will reaffirm the Provincial Government’s commitment to Newfoundland and Labrador’s ocean technology industry.

H2O is Canada’s premier event for the ocean technology sector, with over 50 exhibitors and 500 delegates as well as international participants from 15 countries. The conference includes an exhibition, presentation, and the opportunity for business-to-business meetings. The conference will enable Newfoundland and Labrador companies to advance international trade opportunities, collaborate with industry stakeholders and gain further knowledge about the ocean technology sector.
