Public Advisory: Cross-Provincial Immigration Engagement Continues in Eastern Region

  • Immigration, Population Growth and Skills

October 18, 2024

The Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills is continuing its cross-provincial series of engagement sessions for employers and international students. Sessions begin in the Eastern Newfoundland region on Monday, October 21.

Employer engagement sessions will include representatives from the Provincial Government as well as staff from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. This is an opportunity for employers to ask questions to provincial and federal immigration officials. Employers looking to register for a session can use this link.

International student engagement sessions will include representatives from the Provincial Government. These sessions will provide an opportunity to learn about permanent immigration options, such as the Provincial Nominee Program and the Atlantic Immigration Program. Sessions for international students do not require pre-registration.

This marks the end of the cross-provincial immigration engagement sessions for 2024. Anyone wishing to learn more about immigration options but is unable to attend a session is encouraged to email immigration@gov.nl.ca. Provincial Government Immigration officials are available to assist clients in any region of the province.

See the backgrounder for a full list of the sessions occurring in the Eastern region Newfoundland next week.
