The Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Labrador Affairs and Minister of Environment and Climate Change, is participating in events today (Wednesday, August 21) organized by the NunatuKavut Community Council in celebration of Treaty Day. The events mark the British-Inuit Treaty of 1765.

The Minister will be joined by Perry Trimper, MHA for Lake Melville and Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier.

Today’s events at the Raymond C. Rumbolt Memorial Recreation Centre in Mary’s Harbour will close this evening with a flag-raising ceremony and community supper.
