The Honourable Steve Crocker, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, is today congratulating Zita Cobb and the team at the Fogo Island Inn on the remarkable achievement of obtaining the prestigious Three-Key designation from the Michelin Guide.

A Michelin Key hotel is deemed to be truly exceptional and luxurious, making the establishment among the most elite hotels in the world.

This designation acknowledges the Fogo Island Inn’s tireless dedication, innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence. It celebrates not only the hotel’s exceptional hospitality but also their role in showcasing the cultural and natural beauty of Fogo Island.

Tourism operators such as Zita Cobb and the Fogo Island Inn continue to be champions of the province’s culture and natural beauty, inspiring everyone involved in the industry to work together to enhance Newfoundland and Labrador’s appeal and grow its visitor economy.

In April 2024, the Michelin Guide, the same group that bestows Michelin Stars upon exceptional restaurants, launched its Michelin Key distinction. Hotels can be given a One, Two or Three-Key distinction, with Three-Keys being the most prestigious. To date, there is only one other Three-Key hotel in Canada.
