The Honourable Dr. Scott Reid, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, has announced the following relative to Environmental Assessment – Part 10 – of the Environmental Protection Act.

The project has been released from environmental assessment subject to the conditions as outlined in the minister’s decision letter available on the Department of Environment and Climate Change website at www.gov.nl.ca/ecc/projects/project-2353/.

PLANS ACCEPTABLE:
White Hill Pond FEL Quarry                                                          (Reg. 2291)
Proponent: Farrell’s Excavating Ltd.

On June 12, 2025, the minister advised the proponent that the Water Resources Management Plan and the Complaint Resolution Plan for the project are acceptable. The plans were required as conditions of release from environmental assessment and are available on the Department of Environment and Climate Change website at: www.gov.nl.ca/ecc/projects/project-2291/.
