ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT ACCEPTED:
Indian Head Hatchery Expansion Project (Reg. 1975)
Proponent: Mowi Canada East Inc.
A review has been completed of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) submitted on June 4, 2025. On August 13, 2025, the minister determined that the EIS complies with Part 10 of the Environmental Protection Act and the EIS guidelines.
UNDERTAKING RELEASED:
Northeast Arm Former US Recreation Camp Demolition (Reg. 2362)
Proponent: Public Services and Procurement Canada
The project has been released from environmental assessment subject to the conditions as outlined in the minister’s decision letter available on the Department of Environment and Climate Change website at www.gov.nl.ca/ecc/projects/project-2362/.
PLAN ACCEPTED:
Veterans Memorial Bridge Quarry (Reg. 2336)
Proponent: Nunatsiavut Construction Inc.
On August 20, 2025, the minister advised the proponent that the Water Resources Management Plan for the project is acceptable. The plan was required as a condition of release from environmental assessment and is available on the Department of Environment and Climate Change website at: www.gov.nl.ca/ecc/projects/project-2336/.
