“The historic Memorandum of Understanding with Quebec will terminate and replace the 1969 Upper Churchill Contract, develop Gull Island and expand capacity of the Churchill Falls plant. The details of this agreement and the transformational benefits derived deserve to be reviewed and understood by all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. In addition to the upcoming House of Assembly session, the Provincial Government is providing every citizen access to the negotiating team and the opportunity to ask questions from the comfort of their own home.”
Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey
Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador
