The Honourable John Hogan, KC, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, will be available to the media today (Tuesday, August 5) for an update on the status of two active wildfires on the Avalon Peninsula.

Premier Hogan will be joined by Honourable John Haggie, Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture, department officials, and representatives from the RCMP.

The availability will take place in the Media Centre in the Confederation Building at 12:00 p.m. It will be livestreamed on the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s YouTube channel.
