The Honourable Lela Evans, Minister of Health and Community Services and Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, is participating in the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at improving health and well-being outcomes for Indigenous peoples in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The event takes place tomorrow (Thursday, November 27, 2025) at the Greenwood Hotel, Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The memorandum between Miawpukek First Nation, Qalipu First Nation, and Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services represents phase one of a collaborative process grounded in respect, cultural recognition and partnership.
