Public Advisory: Resource Enforcement Division Seeking Information on Moose Shot in Park

The Resource Enforcement Division is seeking information about a moose shot and killed in the provincial reserve area of Jonathan’s Pond Park, approximately 10 kilometres north of Gander.

Officers discovered the remains of a female moose on the side of Route 330, within provincial park reserve boundaries. The incident is believed to have occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

It is illegal to kill a moose within a provincial park.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gander detachment at 709-256-1293.
