Some forest access roads in the Point Leamington, Botwood, Lewisporte, Glenwood, Birchy Bay, Gander Bay, Gambo and Glovertown areas will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic effective Wednesday, March 26, until further notice. Signage will be posted at gates leading to closed roads.
Temporary closures are required to protect forest access roads from damage during the spring thaw period. Roads will remain open for snowmobile and all-terrain vehicle use.
Access roads scheduled for temporary closure include:

- Clarke’s Head
- Otter Pond
- Shipbuilder’s Pond
- Stoneville
- Osmonton Arm
- Southern Lake
- Burnt Bay Lake
- Wings Point
- Neil’s Brook
- Rod and Gun Club
- Island Pond
- Second Pond
- Chapel’s Island
- Mint Brook Forest
- Drover’s Ridge
- Northwest Pond
- Weir’s Pond
- Kinden’s Ridge
