Resource Enforcement Officers from the Gander Detachment responded to a report of an illegally harvested/poached moose on the Gander Bay Road (Route 330) near Muddy Gullies Access Road on the morning of April 13. Officers found the entrails and head of an adult female moose.

The moose is believed to have been killed on the evening of April 12, 2025, or early morning on April 13, 2025.
