The House of Assembly advises that at the close of nominations at 4:30 p.m. today, notices of intent for election to the Office of Speaker were received from:

• Paul Lane, MHA-elect, District of Mount Pearl – Southlands

The election of Speaker will be the first order of business when the House of Assembly convenes on Monday, November 3, at 3:00 p.m. The process is outlined in Chapter 2 of the Standing Orders.
