Officials from the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology are attending the Central MinEx Mineral Industry Showcase at the Steele Community Centre in Gander from May 13-15.

Building on the success of last year’s Central MinEx, Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Town of Gander is presenting the Central MinEx Mineral Industry Showcase 2025. To support this event, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has provided $20,000 through the Regional Development Fund which supports organizations by way of non-repayable contributions for projects aimed at supporting economic development, innovation and capacity building in all regions of the province.

Central MinEx is a three-day symposium that will promote dialogue featuring industry thought leaders, technical experts, suppliers and the local business community to exchange ideas and ignite new opportunities in the mineral exploration and development sector. This event has proven to be one of the premier mining industry events in Newfoundland and Labrador attracting industry leaders, suppliers and mining companies, enabling the building of business partnerships for the region and province.
