Public Advisory: Job Creation Partnerships (JCP) Program Reopened for Conception Bay North Area

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is reopening the Job Creation Partnerships (JCP) program to support recovery efforts in Conception Bay North following recent wildfires.

Applications are now being accepted for community-based, not-for-profit projects that provide Employment Insurance (EI)-eligible individuals with meaningful work experience while directly supporting wildfire recovery efforts.

Eligible organizations are invited to submit proposals for projects that align with the following priority areas:

  • Community Recovery and Remediation
    • Replacement of damaged community infrastructure
    • Clean-up and restoration efforts
  • Post-Fire Economic Recovery
    • Initiatives that support local economic revitalization
    • Employment opportunities that support long-term community capacity
  • Forestry and Silviculture Activities
    • Wildfire site reclamation
    • Site preparation for rebuilding destroyed infrastructure
  • Fire Prevention and Wildfire Preparedness
    • Fire risk assessment and mitigation planning
    • Public outreach to enhance community readiness
