The Department of Municipal Affairs and Community Engagement recognizes the impact that the postal strike may have on the Municipal General Election 2025 regarding vote by mail procedures.

The department has been in contact with the eight cities and towns that requested to undertake vote by mail and want to reassure residents that all eight are working on their contingency plans to ensure the integrity and accessibility of the electoral process.
