The Honourable Joedy Wall, Minister of Housing and Minister of Social Supports and Well-Being, will take part in a groundbreaking ceremony this afternoon (Wednesday, December 17) for two new homes set for construction in Mount Pearl by Habitat for Humanity.

The event will take place at 11 Glendale Avenue in Mount Pearl starting at 2:00 p.m.

Minister Wall will join His Worship Dave Aker, Mayor of Mount Pearl, Sandra Whiffen, Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity Newfoundland and Labrador, Jill Snow, Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as representatives from the Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union.

Habitat for Humanity Newfoundland and Labrador is a non-profit charitable organization that assists lower income working families with affordable homeownership.
