The Honourable Elvis Loveless, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, will provide an update on the procurement process for the new adult corrections facility on Monday, June 16.

The event will take place at 12:00 p.m. at the site of the new facility, located across the street from the intersection of Harding Road and East White Hills Road.

Minister Loveless will be joined by the Honourable Dr. John Haggie, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General; the Honourable Bernard Davis, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development and MHA for Virginia Waters-Pleasantville; and Hafeez Habib, New Avalon Corrections Partners.

All media attending must wear personal protective equipment. Transportation and Infrastructure will supply hard hats and safety vests. However, media must supply their own safety boots. Media must confirm their attendance beforehand by emailing melonyoneill@gov.nl.ca
