The Cabinet Committee on Conception Bay North Response and Recovery will be available to the media tomorrow (Tuesday, January 27). The availability will take place outside of the House of Assembly at 11:00 a.m.

The availability will present an opportunity for the ministers to highlight the collaborative discussions with representatives from the Town of Small Point-Broad Cove-Blackhead-Adam’s Cove and the Disaster Recovery Committee for the Unincorporated Communities of Kingston, Western Bay, Ochre Pit Cove and Northern Bay, as well as the progress the committee is making in terms of gathering information to help inform next steps in assisting residents of Conception Bay North.

Members of the committee include Honourable Helen Conway Ottenheimer, Minister of Justice and Public Safety, and Minister of Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Management (Chair), Honourable Chris Tibbs, Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs and Minister of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, Honourable Craig Pardy, Minister of Finance, President of Treasury Board and Minister of Seniors, and Honourable Joedy Wall, Minister of Social Supports and Well-Being, Minister Responsible for Housing.
