The Town of Badger has declared a state of emergency, and has issued an evacuation order for the following sections of the town:

• Beothuk Street, civic numbers 8-19 inclusive
• Earle Street, civic numbers 6, 7 and 9
• Maple Street, civic numbers 44-76 and 67-99 inclusive
• River Road, civic number 10

Evacuees are asked to register at a reception centre located at the Badger Community Centre, 19 Maple Street.

The Provincial Emergency Operations Centre is at Level 2 and is actively monitoring this situation. Emergency management partners have been engaged to respond, where necessary.
