Welcome to Our Virtual Assistant (Beta)
Our Virtual Assistant is in Beta - what does that mean?
It’s like a test version. Most of it works, but there might still be a few bugs or things we’re improving. This version helps us learn from real use and your feedback so we can make it better for you!
Terms of Use
Our Virtual Assistant uses artificial intelligence (AI) to answer general questions using information from Government of Newfoundland and Labrador websites. It’s here to help, but it’s not perfect. Sometimes, answers might be wrong or out of date.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Don’t use it in emergencies.
- Don’t share personal or sensitive info (like names, addresses, or credit card numbers).
- It doesn’t give legal, medical, or professional advice.
- Always double-check the information before using it.
By using this service, you agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Virtual Assistant.
Privacy Policy
Please don’t enter any personal, confidential, or sensitive information.
We keep a record of conversations to help improve the service and fix problems. These records are not used to train the AI. They’re stored securely and deleted automatically after 30 days. We protect your data using the same security standards used across all Government of Newfoundland and Labrador digital services.
Limitation of Liability
This service is provided on an “as is” basis without any representation or warranties of any kind. The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is not liable for any damages or losses of any kind whatsoever or howsoever arising from the use of or the inability of users to use the service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and the privacy policy at any time. If you keep using the Virtual Assistant after changes are made, it means you accept the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms follow the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador and the laws of Canada.
