Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to construct a 51.8-kilometre, 138-kilovolt transmission line connecting the Boyd’s Cove and Lewisporte substations in central Newfoundland. The project is intended to address aging infrastructure and mitigate undervoltage issues in the region, enhancing grid reliability for surrounding communities.

• June 27, 2025 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 1, 2025 – Deadline for public comments.
• August 11, 2025 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• August 6, 2025 – The Minister has determined the project is released.
