Project Description:
The proponent proposes to construct a 640 metre access road and develop a rock quarry north of the Trans-Labrador Highway (Route 510) approximately 50 kilometres west of the Trans Labrador Highway and Cartwright Junction. The quarry materials will be used to widen and hard surface Route 510 from 160 kilometres east of Happy Valley-Goose Bay to Cartwright Junction. Construction will include building the access road and developing the quarry. Operations will involve drilling and blasting rock, crushing, and hauling materials to off load on Route 510. Construction is planned to commence by May 2019.

- May 9, 2019 – The Minister’s decision is due.
- August 30, 2019 – Project withdrawn.
